Low key Japanese restaurant in station 3 area of Boracay. Food was decent, probably could use a little more seasoning but the flavors were fine. Service was friendly and the beach views were great.

After a late lunch, I wasn't super hungry, but I was definitely craving a light dinner. So, I decided to give Nagisa Japanese Restaurant a try, especially since it was just a few minutes' walk from my hotel. When I got there, it was pretty quiet, just a few tables were occupied, which was fine by me. Ambiance I really liked the vibe here. It's got this super relaxing atmosphere, and I found the blend of Japanese style with a touch of local Boracay charm really appealing. It just felt like a peaceful spot to unwind. Service My experience with the service was a bit of a mixed bag. When I first walked in, the server who greeted me wasn't exactly friendly, which was a little off-putting. But thankfully, a different server took over later, and they were really accommodating and friendly. That definitely made the service feel much better overall. Food For food, I went with some sushi and maki. Honestly, it was just okay – nothing that blew me away, but it wasn't bad either. I did notice that the fish on the sushi seemed a bit dry to me. It made me think that maybe sushi isn't something they get ordered a lot, and that might be why it wasn't super fresh-looking. I have a feeling they probably have other dishes that are ordered all the time, and those might be the real stars of the menu. Price Considering it's right on the beachfront in Boracay, I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. It felt like good value for the location. Overall Even with the initial service hiccup and the sushi being just "okay," I would actually like to come back to Nagisa. The relaxing ambiance was a big plus, and the service improved a lot. I'm genuinely curious to try their other popular dishes – the ones I think are ordered every day – because I have a feeling that's where their true strengths lie.

Good Japanese food. Recommendation for Tonkosy Shoyu Ramen, Gyoza and Tempura. Avoid Garlic squid, it's like rubber (squid from can?) Prices are low compared to other restaurants but ask for portion size before ordering. 10% is charged like in many restaurants. Good, relaxed atmosphere and vibe.

Better in 2023 or is it just us? Ramen is not piping hot like it should be… the gyoza lacks character. Yes, the serving is pretty huge but we missed the ginger kick at the end. The sashimi and the California maki both looked so resigned πŸ˜‘ I want to release their pension. Good to be back but yeah, what happened?
