6 years agoThis beach is so wonderful. You can walk into the water for about 50 meters or more. So it's great for children or if you cannot swim. The sand is fine and dark and there are only very moderate waves. Anyhow or maybe just because of this many surfers are enjoying the bay. There is a bamboo tower and a little house close to it. You can relax on one of the swing seats at that house watching the sunset and the ocean. Or just lay on the beach.

2 years agoHad the WORST experience ever at this beach! 😡 DON’T go here if you want to have a relaxing day at the beach to swim or even just play in the water! The security guards will make troubles, shout at you and take photos and videos of you once you even touch the water. Quite disappointing, as this DAMAGES the image of TAIWAN being a tourist-friendly, enjoyable and FREE COUNTRY! The beach is located on a beautiful half island, with nicely arranged trees and paths. There are many surfers there, waves are moderate. Once I put on my swimming pants and walked into the water, a security guard came whistling, taking pictured of me and aggressively shouting at me: Swimming is not allowed and the water can only touch up to my knees, not further. I acknowledged and went into the water again, until the water was at knee level. Then, thins really escalated. A second security guard came who also started shouting at me and took videos of me. He was calling the police and wanted to fine me 10,000 NTD for the water touching above my knees. Absolutely ridiculous! The security guards/company are a joke. No rational arguments, only shouting and pointing the camera right at my face. Never met so unfriendly Taiwanese people! The security guards really lost their temper and were only shouting! Be careful and avoid this beach!
