3 weeks agoYou wouldn't believe they charge admission for this. There was only one butterfly to be seen, otherwise just dilapidated signs and pictures of butterflies. You can walk through the small enclosure in 4 minutes (if you walk slowly). Because you're trying to discover something... And as a tourist, you pay 2.5 times the price of a local, which I can maybe understand. But it wasn't worth the 500 ksh and the 11km walk through a chaotic city.

a year agoNot a worthy place to go…..it seems like they don’t have the butterflies for a very long time but the old man at the reception make you pay to see no butterflies what a rip off🤦🏽♀️

a year agoI took the very informative tour and it lasted for maybe 25 minutes. They’re definitely isn’t a lot of butterflies because they only live for a few weeks. And the organization is having a hard time getting farmers to give the foundation the cocoons. Farmers would rather sell the cocoons and make money. If you do go inside, be sure you bring mosquito repellent. I was eaten alive.
