เมื่อเดือนที่แล้วWe loved this experience. The guide was himself a victim of the landmine explosion where he lost a leg . What Was very interesting was to see the entire process of eggs being laid to the finished product. He explained in detail what each process entailed. We even touched the weaving machines. It's a complicated process as it's all hand spun. The garden there is also so relaxing in the hammock. There are products for sale but they are extremely pricey. Loved the huge fish in the pond which had story of it's own to tell!

3 สัปดาห์ที่แล้วPros: it was cool to see the silk worms and the various stages of producing the silk cocoons. It was also very fascinating to see the process of the ladies weaving the silk into patterns. Cons: you can purchase these same scarfs for the SAME price on Amazon, $20. Yes they are actively making scarfs but the ones in the shop are not authentic. Don’t fall for it like I did Also, you pay to enter the community center and then are asked for a hefty “tip” by the guide at the end. This is the first place in all of Cambodia that they have done this. Apparently Siem Reap has an intense level of heckling as well so be prepared.

10 เดือนที่ผ่านมาWe took the boat for 500 Riel per person, They offered us a tour of the entire island but we refused. We only wanted to see the silk production. Mrs. Anna invited us to her home and showed us the silk production… step by step and explained everything. We bought silk from her at a very good price, better than in the silk museum. When we were in the silk museum, the entrance was free but… at the entrance there are many “guides”who charge 20,000 Riel. I think it’s too much for 10 minutes be a guide… there is not much to see and explain for this price. You can see it yourself, and buy silk…
