5 เดือนที่ผ่านมาI had the absolute pleasure of studying at We Learn Thai Chiang Mai for nine months, starting as a complete beginner with pretty much zero knowledge of Thai. Over that time, I worked my way through the school’s curriculum, finishing the Beginner modules and making it all the way to the end of the Intermediate program. My learning experience was a mix of group and private classes, which turned out to be the perfect combination. I started off with group sessions for both the Speaking and Reading & Writing modules. Learning alongside fellow students (and making some new friends along the way) created a really supportive environment. Group classes usually had about 4–8 people and ran for two hours at a time—challenging enough to keep things interesting but never overwhelming. All together, I completed more than 15 modules at We Learn Thai. The school provided great printed textbooks for each course, and they also uploaded PDF versions to Google Classroom. Having easy access to digital materials made it super convenient to review lessons or catch up if I didn’t have my textbook handy. Once I reached the Pre-Intermediate level, I switched over to private lessons, which allowed for much more personalized attention and feedback—something that really helped me keep progressing. Throughout my time at We Learn Thai, I had the chance to learn from an amazing group of teachers, each with their own unique style and strengths. I’m incredibly grateful to Kruu Angpao, Kruu Nim, Kruu Mat, Kruu Benz, Kruu Nuun, Kruu Fifa, and Kruu Pim—your guidance and encouragement made a huge difference in my journey. A very special thank you goes to Kruu Nuun, who I studied with the longest. Her classes were always engaging, clear, and motivating. Whether it was breaking down tricky grammar points, helping me push past my hesitation when speaking, or sharing little bits about Thai culture and daily life, her lessons always left me feeling both challenged and supported. The behind-the-scenes team at the school deserves a big shoutout too. Nicha, along with Khun Nancy, Khun Bprem, Khun Namdtan, and Khun Jip, helped organize my classes and handled the visa process so smoothly that it took a lot of the stress out of studying. One of the things that really stood out to me about We Learn Thai was the sense of community they’ve built. Beyond the classroom, there were many fun extra activities—like the Loy Krathong workshop, group hikes, and the annual "fun fest"—that made it easy to connect with other students and get a deeper feel for Thai culture. By the end of my studies, I was genuinely amazed at how far I’d come. I can now hold multi-hour conversations with Thai people out in the real world, and I’m comfortable reading and writing Thai—something I never imagined when I first started. All in all, studying at We Learn Thai was one of the most rewarding learning experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about learning Thai, whether you’re a total beginner or already have some experience, I can’t recommend this school highly enough.
