  • Schengen Visa

    Iceland is a member of the Schengen cooperation. It is a collaboration of 29 countries that aims to ensure the free movement of people across the borders of the member states. A uniform visa is issued by all Schengen countries and is valid for travel throughout the entire area. If you have already received a Schengen visa, you do not need to apply separately for a visa to travel to Iceland.   • Long Term Visa

    A long-term visa authorizes a person to stay in Iceland for up to 90 days beyond the time a person could normally stay in the country as a tourist, regardless of whether he is required to have a visa or not. A long-term visa may only be issued once per 12-month period. The holder of a long-term visa does not receive a social security number and may not work in Iceland.
