Better go to Ho Chi Minh if you want your visa without problems. The staff here is incompetent. The language barrier being already an obstacle, THEY DON’T LISTEN TO YOU. Me and my friend applied for a simple tourist visa, the first ever and one document was missing for the visa and the staff told us what to do, we did exactly what she told us to do but after the application was reviewed they said that the document was « fake or illegal », IT WAS THEIR DIRECTIVES. If we can’t trust them then who should we trust ? When we tried everyday to explain the problem, the only thing that they said was « I don’t know », « don’t ask me ». Do they really work here ? Moreover they tried to scare us, to stop us from coming seeing them. RUN. Never do your visa here. Incompetent people working somewhere very important .

See other reviews for requirements, they were accurate, including 6 months of bank statements. Land crossing INTO Thailand is accepted if you have bus bookings from Vietnam to Cambodia and Cambodia to Thailand. Not sure if bus booking out will be accepted as it did not apply in our case.Passport deposited on Monday 3pm, confirmation Friday 9am.

Even though I have read the website and commented on all the precautions, I still can't get it done... I hope the official can carefully examine whether the request for tourist visa information is reasonable...1. I hold a Taiwan passport to apply, and I am also required to provide notarized documents of labor contract, work permit, and temporary residence permit in Vietnam. This is unreasonable. According to the Vietnamese law, a labor contract and a work permit can be applied for a temporary residence permit. Can't understand why these three documents need to be notarized...and the website doesn't specify that.2. I apply for 4 tourist visas with my family, and I have to copy 4 copies of the salary certificate? Is it clear that the policy can be based on the family as a unit?I have applied for a Thai visa quite a few times in Taiwan, and now I realize how difficult it is to apply in Hanoi...

The employees at this consulate do not understand the proof of funds requirement. They are denying applicants until they bring in 6 months of bank statements to apply.Below is the wording that I copied and pasted (and an image of the text) from their website about the proof of funds requirement. It does not say 6 months of bank statements, it says a bank statement from the past 6 months. Same as the requirement at all other TH consulates - one bank statement from the past 6 months NOT 6 months of bank statements.Aside from the fact that the requirement is only one bank statement, logically six months of bank statements to prove 20k baht does not make sense. Why would someone applying for a tourist visa to enter a country for 2 months need to provide 6 months of bank statements to prove such a small amount of funds? From their website :“3.6 Evidence of adequate financeA bank statement in the past 6 months, showing the minimum fund of THB 20,000.- per person or THB 40,000.- per family.”I showed one of the gals working at the consulate the website and explained to her that it says one bank statement from the past six months, not six months of bank statements, and her response was to go pull out a stack of thick tourist applicant files who had submitted six months of bank statements which is irrelevant to the fact that they are misunderstanding the requirement.
