5 months agoItβs a fun few hours in Bocas Del Toro area. Definitely worth seeing. Keep walking past all the bars and restaurants to get to the starfish. Donβt be in a rush for food- definitely on island time. The walk to the beach is through the marsh area but nice. It is crowded but there are plenty of starfish for all to see.

5 months agoDo not fall for this tourist trap. The advertised starfish are fake plastic ones (hence the signs not to touch them) β made in China. To get there, you first endure a rollercoaster bus ride, then brave an hour-long perilous jungle trail where you can easily get lost. A machete is a must, and even then, sloths can get you or youβll be hit by a falling coconut. Nothing beautiful to see. Avoid!

7 months agoThe beach is great because it has huge starfish which you should not touch or take out of the water. Just enjoy your wildlife. I took one starfish out of the sea to take a picture out of my ignorance. Later, I read that they can die because of that. Visiting recommended.

5 months agoThis is one of the most beautiful things around Isla ColΓ³n in Bocas. And if you were doing 5 km Open Water swimming during a hard competition, this beautiful Stars on the deep are much more beautiful to see. π₯°ππ€
