a year agoDon't be deceived by the pictures. This beach looks beautiful from a far, but in reality, this place is gross! I have never seen so much garbage on a beach, ANYWHERE! There isn't as much in the water, so it's still swimmable, but the shoreline is disgusting and I would not walk here without shoes. The water near the rocks and ruins is murky, and although I did see some small fish, there's not much that's worth looking at for snorkelers. Beach chairs are reasonably priced at $7 for the whole day, but you have to fight for them with local Panamanians who lack the most basic communication skills and think they own the place. Guys who run the rentals were mocking us when we walked past them as we were leaving. You can come here to get some nice pictures, but if you actually want to swim and hang out on the beach, I recommend the beach in the village, right next to the pier. Very clean and on a weekday you're pretty much guaranteed to have the place completely to yourself, or almost.

2 years agoBeach is ok, they charged us $17 just for an umbrella and 2 beach chairs without any towels. It was scorching hot however, recommend taking a buggy to the top of the island though- they offer it at the entrance off the ferry.
