EVisa Kingdom Of Cambodia: Cheap long term Official Government Visa Application

It was supposedly cleaned up, but no. I've never had issues on the Thai side, but the Cambodian one has asked for money for various reasons, basically anything they can come up with. One was because of "no documents", despite never having needed them ever. Even with a work permit they demanded $10 extra for an ordinary visa, and shouted at my partner after they took her into their room. Unbelievably rude. It must be a horrific welcome to people coming to Cambodia for the first time and I heartily recommend against it; the other borders have been fine in my experience.They do not accept the eVisa or digital arrival system which we had done in advance; do not expect them to care.

This border has amazing bandits (Rogue) like strategy to get as much $$ as they can out of travelers, especially when large crowds of people crossing from Thai. Their strategy is to only open 1-2 windows and let the people pile up, which may take you more than 2 hours to get through. Then! Plant their boys at the entrance to offer there "VIP service" to you for $10-$15 (assuming you already have your Visa) and get you through within 15 minutes. So all other officers are must be working the "back door" to quickly stamp you in I guess 🤔Considering the high professionalism level at the neighboring Thai border (going or coming) this Poi Pet border puts out a very bad picture of Cambodia and makes it look like "hungry dog county ស្រុកឆ្កែឃ្លាន". Very sad for Cambodia!

Absolutely corrupted both Cam and Thai side, not 1 officer but the whole crew there. At Cam, they asked 200 Bat for the Exit. Then the Thai officer kept us hours waiting and asking tons of stupid questions with their low level of English even we from VN same Asean. Later some strange guy approach and 'offer' 1200 bat, too frustrated, we did pay and everything went smooth, we passed the Immigration with that same Thai officer with a smlie on her face. Ridiculous and bad impression.

Getting a visa was easy. I filled in the form given in the entry and mentioned the passport with the visa fee of 30 dollars given to the officer. Although not officially stated, 100 Baht was requested. When I asked why they wanted. The officer asked for the money without an explanation. This is a formal bribery. I gave the desired illegal money and crossed the border.
