2 months agoGiven the change in political climate in both the USA and Portugal post COVID-19, Atlantic Bridge kept me in the loop and were available to answer my questions as needed. They assisted me with resources beyond obtaining our residency status: offering contacts for getting our NIF; assisting with banking accounts, shipping household goods and even a contact for shipping our pet. I also told them the following would be helpful: remind clients to subscribe to their newsletter which comes out (at least) monthly; and, update their FAQs more frequently. Overall I gave them a 5 star rating, because they did their best. When there was miscommunication or a misunderstanding I knew I needed to find another way to clarify my concerns. Once they understood what I was asking, they were extremely responsive and helpful. As expats, we need to remember that although we may pay for the service, we are entering the Portuguese culture as guests, and must act accordingly. I would use them in the future as needed, no questions asked, while we work towards our permanent residency status. In addition to the assigned consultant that we used on a regular basis, we found their legal team to be invaluable when dealing with the Portuguese Consulate in the USA. We couldn't have tackled this process on our own. The money spent was well worth the investment.
